Can I force my 3 siblings to sell a vacation house my dad left to all of us?

If you own property with others and one party does not wish to sell there are options. Of course, all parties can agree as to what their share is worth and the party that does not wish to sell can buy the others out. If subject property is a larger parcel of land the parties can agree to survey out the pieces they want and give each other deeds for their respective parcels. If the parties cannot agree or if the party that does not wish sell cannot buy the others out then the ones that want to sell can go to an attorney and inquire about filing a Petition to Partition Action. On a basic level this is where a lawsuit is filed and a Judge can make determinations as to how the property and monies are allocated.
